Jason, Willemien and Jayden Krul Jason and Willemien, along with their son Jayden (1), are new missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship assigned to Haiti. Special verses to them are, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3: 5 & 6 Jason was born in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. He grew up in a Christian home, and attended a Christian school and Church but it wasn’t until after a youth conference at the age of 18 that he learned to know Christ as his personal Saviour. He became aware of his calling into missions during a high school short-term missions trip to Agua Prieta, Mexico. After high school he began a B.A in Business Administration at the University College of the Fraser Valley, which is where he met his wife, Wilhelmina. Wilhelmina was excited about flying, so she convinced him to do an intro-flight for his 19th birthday! One flight was all it took to get him hooked! On his first solo cross country Jason came into contact with MAF for the first time, through a recruitment brochure left at a remote airport. Since then he has completed his commercial, multi-engine IFR, and instructor ratings. He then worked as a flight instructor at Principal Air in Chilliwack for 2 years. Wilhelmina was born in Ermelo, Holland. She moved to Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada with her family at the age of three. She gained an interest in missions at a young age while reading the magazines from a mission in Zimbabwe that her church supported. She also grew up in a Christian home, and attended a Christian School and Church but it wasn’t until her late teens that she learned to know Christ as her personal Saviour. The words that had and continue to have such a powerful influence on her life are John 3:14 &15 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so much the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” After she graduated from high school, Wilhelmina went to college and studied Business Administration. This is where she met Jason. She worked at an accounting office for 2 ½ years. Jason and Wilhelmina were married in September, 2006. Since then God has blessed them with a son, Jayden. Jason looks forward to serving as a pilot in Haiti – flying missionaries, national pastors, and medical personnel into hard-to-reach regions of the country. Jason’s favourite verse is Romans 8:38-39 which says, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Wilhelmina looks forward to using her administration skills, as well as her love for people, to assist in the local community, as well as helping out in the numerous orphanages. To fund the worldwide ministry of MAF, the Lord is faithful in providing the generous support from His caring people. He has called the men and women of MAF to serve Him in a unique way. He is also calling people like you to have a special role in the ministry of MAF around the world. You are invited to partner with Jason and Wilhelmina.
